Romans 2:10-16
Brethren, glory and honor and peace for everyone who does
good, the Jew first and also the Greek. For God shows no
partiality. All who have sinned without the law will also perish
without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be
judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the law who are
righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be
justified. When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature
what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not
have the law. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts,
while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse
or perhaps excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God
judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

Matthew 4:18-23
At that time, as Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw
two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his
brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers
of men." Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James
the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their
father, mending their nets, and he called them. Immediately they left their boat
and their father, and followed him. And he went about all Galilee, teaching in
their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every
disease and every infirmity among the people.

The Stewardship Committee is looking for people who are willing to
volunteer their time and skills to help with our stewardship
ministry. No previous experience is necessary, just a
willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in this

PAN ARCADIAN SUMMER PICNIC FOR ENTIRE COMMUNITY
WHEN: Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 4:00pm WHERE: George
Washington Park –Parley’s Canyon. Take Exit 134. We will
enjoy Roast Lamb and all of the trimmings. COST: $15 per
adult & $8 per child.
Greek Orthodox Day at Lagoon
Discount tickets are now available for Sunday, July 27 th at both church
narthexes and offices for a day of rollercoaster riding and fun.
The annual Panahaikos Family Picnic will be held this
year at Jordan Park 1060 So. 900 West southwest terrace,
on Sunday, July 13th at 5:00pm. Menu will be steaks,
pilafi, and corn on the cob, salad & watermelon. Pitas,
desserts or other favorites are welcome. No cost. There will also be RAFFLE
PRIZES. The International Peace Garden is a botanical garden located next to
Jordan Park; this will give us a chance to see the beautiful garden for Greece.
We hope to see all of you there.
ARCADIAN LADIES CLUB SUMMER PICNIC--The annual picnic will be held
at Sunnyside Park (8th South 1735 East) on Saturday, July 12 at 11:30am.

WENDOVER TRIP
The Society of Athanasios Diakos will be going to
Wendover, NV, on Saturday July 19th. This is a late
trip, we leave Prophet Elias at 11:30am, and we then
leave the Memorial Hall at Noon. We will leave
Wendover at 8:00pm. We now get back $7.00 and a free all you can eat

PAN ORTHODOX FISHING TRIP TO STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR Thursday, July
10th through Sunday, July 13th. Bring your motor home, trailer or tent and join us in
the campground, or stay in the Strawberry Lodge (www.strawberrybay.com or 435548-2500). Contact the lodge for boat and slip rentals. Group prime rib dinner at the
Lodge on Thursday Evening. We will cook dinner for everyone in the campground on
Friday and Saturday evenings and share fellowship and fish stories. For more details

your name is not on this list and you have made a stewardship commitment,
please contact the church office at 801-328-9681. If you have not made a
stewardship commitment, please do your part to help in the financial ministry
of our community and our Orthodox Church. Our parish has many expenses
and the help of everyone is required to keep us a vibrant community and to
help spread Orthodoxy.
A steward is someone who has been entrusted with another's property and
charged with the responsibility of managing it in the owner's best interest. So
for us, stewardship is the act of lovingly returning to God a portion of His many
gifts with which He has blessed each of us. Stewardship is a ministry that
enables us to respond to Christ’s love by perpetuating His Church’s mission.
Our giving of time, talent and treasure enables our parish to do Christ’s work
here on Earth through our many ministries, services and outreach programs.
If you haven’t already, please make your stewardship commitment today or, if
possible, increase your commitment with thanks to God.
