Personal Advice
Free Services at the School
In a first personal conversation the student will be extensively advised and goals will be set.
Placement Test
Trial lesson
Strengths and weaknesses will be defined and discussed by means of a placement test.
A non-committal trial lesson in one of the recommended groups should show the student if the
placement test meets their expectation.
Quality Assurance
Controls on learning objectives will be carried out on regular basis.
Upon request or advice from the School Management, a course may be repeated wholly or in part. In
both cases the course participant will be required to pay only 50% of the repeated lessons.
Individual Program
As a result of the placement test and the defined goals, an individual program will be put together for
the course participant. As far as the capacity of allegra! permits, the participants enjoy a great deal
of freedom regarding frequency and scheduling.
Group Sizes
Group Courses
The sizes of the classes amount to a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 students.
Group size can be increased above 10 students only exceptionally and only temporarily.
Teachers
The courses are taught by qualified teachers.
allegra! reserves the right to replace deployed teachers on a temporary or permanent basis.
Excursions
As an important didactic instrument, short trips and excursions will be undertaken during intensive
courses, which demonstrate and deepen „every day life“ situations.
Missed Lessons
Absences have to be reported to the administration. Course participants in group courses have no
right to compensation of missed lessons.
Group Sizes < 4
In the case of a class understaffing, it may happen that the school nevertheless continues to teach
the course - subject to the consent of all course participants - but must increase the course fees
accordingly.
Should the majority of the group not be in agreement with this process, the School Management
reserves the right to cancel the course or reduce the amount of lessons.
Registration
Attending and Cancelling Private Lessons
All private lessons require written pre-registration – at least 48 hours before the desired date.
Deregistration
Deregistration must be carried out either in person or by email at least 24 hours prior to lessons.
Otherwise the lessons will be charged for.
Duration
A Private Lesson Unit usually lasts for 90 Minutes (2 lessons of 45 Minutes each).
It is also possible to book lessons lasting for 60 Minutes.
Expiration
Private lessons expire a year after signing the contract.
Quotation
Costs
The prices specified in the course programs are binding.
Course Material
The course materials are generally not included in the prices, and must as a
rule be paid in cash upon receipt.

Due date
Unless otherwise agreed, all course fees are due before the start of the course.
Paying in Instalments
Paying in instalments can only be approved exceptionally by the School Management. It increases
however the tuition fee by 10%. Instalments must be paid before starting the respective training
phase.
Delayed Payments
The school reserves the right to discontinue current performance, if payment delays for
owed fees occur.
Extra-curricular Activities Additional costs for extra-curricular activities like entrance fees, tickets, restaurant visits etc. must
be paid by the course participant themselves.
Visa
To get a visa you basically need:
•
a binding school registration (contract), signed on both sides
•
confirmation of school attendance
•
confirmation of payment (after receipt of payment)
Should a visa not be issued by the Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich, the student will get a
refund of the paid tuition fee. The school only charges an administration fee of CHF 290.- .
General
Extreme Cases/
Exceptions
Termination
Courses have a duration time and cannot be terminated.
Upon termination during the course period or by no-show the total amount will be due for payment.
There will be no refunds or vouchers for paid course fees.
The course registration can only be terminated in extreme cases – which must be decided by the
School Management. As a basis for evaluation, a justified request must be submitted in writing by
the course participant to the School Management.
For the preparation of the students history and other administrative costs associated with the
registration, an administration fee of CHF 290.- will be charged in any case.
Third Party Transfer
Should there be no extreme case at hand, paid fees that have not been utilised can be transferred
to a third party or be obtained at a later date (within 12 months).
Breach of Contract
For any breach of contract by the customer or the course participant, such as harassment of other
students or staff, failure to comply with the House Rules, illegal conduct etc., allegra! is entitled to
terminate the agreement with immediate effect without any refund.
TELC Certificates
As an Examination Centre allegra! offers you the possibility of sitting „inhouse“ for the
examinations up to to C1 level of the official TELC Certificate.
Enrollment, changes and cancellations can only be accepted in writing. A fee of CHF 100.- is due in
case of cancellation after deadline. For no show on exam day, the entire fee is due.
Diploma
Confirmation
Course Confirmation
Upon successful completion of a course (A1 – C2) every participant will receive an
allegra! Diploma.
If the performance is unsatisfactory – and upon request by the participant - a course confirmation
will be issued after attending at least 80% of the course.

Utilisation Infrastructure
Liability / Insurance
Class attendance and sojourning at allegra!, the use of equipment and appliances including
computers and screens, going on excursions and trips, are at student‘s own risk.
Theft
allegra! is not liable for any damage, loss or theft of goods.
Accident/ Sickness
Damage
Sickness and accident insurance is the responsibility of the student.
The student is personally liable for damage caused to premises, facilities,
equipment and materials.
Place of Jurisdiction
With their signed application, contract or registration, the student accepts the terms of allegra!
In irreconcilable differences the place of jurisdiction is Zurich.
