The alien’s spouse or a person with whom a registered partnership contract was
concluded lives in the Republic of Lithuania and is an alien with a temporary
residence permit
(clause 5 of part 1 of art. 43 of the LLSA)
An application for replacing a temporary permit to reside in the Republic of Lithuania in the
established format;
A valid travel document (passport);
A temporary residence permit;
One photograph matching the age of the person;
Documents confirming that the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership contract was
concluded has lived in the Republic of Lithuania for the last 2 years and has a temporary residence permit
valid for at least one year; documents confirming the person’s reasonable prospects to gain the right to
permanently reside in the Republic of Lithuania, and the marriage certificate or the registered partnership
contract;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded and who seeks to obtain a temporary residence permit on the
basis of clauses 41 or 13 of part 1 of art. 40 of the LLSA, or the temporary residence permit of the spouse or
the person with whom a registered partnership contract was concluded issued as per clauses 41 or 13 of part 1
of art. 40 of the LLSA, and the marriage certificate or the registered partnership contract;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded and who seeks to obtain a temporary residence permit on the
basis of clause 14 of part 1 of art. 40 of the LLSA and fulfils the condition stipulated in clause 3 of part 6 of
art. 43 of the LLSA, or the temporary residence permit the spouse or the person with whom a registered
partnership contract was concluded, issued on the basis of clause 14 of part 1 of art. 40 of the LLSA, and a
document confirming the marriage that was concluded in the member state of the European Union where the
spouse acquired the long-term resident status or the registered partnership contract that was concluded in the
member state of the European Union where the person with whom the contract was concluded acquired the
long-term resident status;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded, specified in clause 4 of part 6 of art. 43 of the LLSA, or the
temporary residence permit of the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership contract was
concluded, specified in clause 4 of part 6 of art. 43 of the LLSA; documents confirming that the person came
to train in science and studies institutions according to international treaties of the Republic of Lithuania or
according to programmes of the European Union regarding academic exchange with third states, and the
marriage certificate or the registered partnership contract;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded, specified in clause 5 of part 6 of art. 43 of the LLSA, or the
temporary residence permit of the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership contract was
concluded, specified in clause 5 of part 6 of art. 43 of the LLSA; documents confirming that the person, by
directly participating in projects of state importance, has invested owned, borrowed or entrusted assets in the
Republic of Lithuania, and the marriage certificate or the registered partnership contract;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded and who seeks to obtain a temporary residence permit on the

basis of clause 1 of part 1 of art. 45 of the LLSA and fulfils the condition stipulated in part 3 of art. 45 of the
LLSA, or the temporary residence permit of the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership
contract was concluded and who fulfils the condition stipulated in part 3 of art. 45 of the LLSA, issued on the
basis of clause 1 of part 1 of art. 45 of the LLSA, and the marriage certificate or the registered partnership
contract;
or
Documents confirming that the alien arrives together with the spouse or the person with whom a
registered partnership contract was concluded and who is specified in clause 7 of part 6 of art. 43 of the
LLSA, or the temporary residence permit of the spouse or the person with whom a registered partnership
contract was concluded and who is specified in clause 7 of part 6 of art. 43 of the LLSA, issued on the basis
of clause 2 of part 1 of art. 44 of the LLSA and clause 3 of part 1 of art. 45 of the LLSA, a document
confirming that during the period of working in the Republic of Lithuania the person will be paid a wage
comprising at least 2 average wage amounts before taxation of the economy workers of the country recently
published by Statistics Lithuania, and the marriage certificate or the registered partnership contract;
A document confirming that the alien has enough funds (e.g., a bank account statement) and (or)
receives regular income to live in the Republic of Lithuania (e.g., an employment agreement), which
amounts to at least the subsistence amount for living in the Republic of Lithuania established by the
Minister of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania;
A document confirming that the alien has accommodation where the alien intends to declare
residence and whose residential space per one adult person who declared their residence in it comprises
at least 7 square metres, the accommodation is used according to the ownership right or on the basis of
rent or gratuitous use, if the respective agreement was concluded for a period of time not shorter than the
validity period of the temporary residence permit and is registered according to the established
procedure, or if there is an obligation confirmed according to the procedure stipulated in the legal acts
and issued by a natural person or a legal entity to provide the alien with suitable accommodation where
the alien will declare residence and which will fulfil the established requirements for accommodation
during the validity period of the temporary residence permit;
A list of trips and stays in foreign states;
A document confirming health insurance or a document confirming that the alien has compulsory
health insurance in cases stipulated in the Republic of Lithuania Law on Health Insurance (these
documents may be submitted when applying for a temporary residence permit);
A document confirming the paid state fee.
