RESERVATIONS
Your tickets will only have the
London-Brussels departure
and arrival times on them.
Don’t worry – that’s because
you have the freedom to jump
on any Deutsche Bahn train
departing from Brussels on
the day of your Eurostar
journey. Your tickets are valid
all the way to your German
destination, and back again
if you’re returning.
You’ll have a seat reserved
on your Eurostar train, but
you won’t need a seat
reservation on your Deutsche
Bahn journey. As soon as your
German train arrives, hop on
and find a seat. If the digital
display above the seat is
blank, it’s free. Seats marked
ggf.reserviert may be free,
but can be booked at the last
minute, so you could be asked
to change seats if someone
has reserved it.
Eurostar
Continental high
speed lines
Channel tunnel
You’ll need to change trains
in Brussels and, for some
destinations, in Cologne
or Frankfurt as well.
Check the table for more
information on how to get
there, and the German
station names that might
be used on departure screens.

CONNECTING AT
BRUSSELS-MIDI/ZUID
If you miss your Eurostar
or InterCity Express (ICE)
connection because of delays
on your previous high-speed
train, don’t worry.
Speak to the train manager on
board and they’ll help you get on
the next available train, thanks
to Railteam’s Hop on the Next
Available Train service.
When you arrive at BrusselsMidi/Zuid station, you’ll need to
change trains.
InterCity Express (ICE) trains
usually depart from platforms
3, 4, 5 and 6, but check the
departure boards, just in case.
If you have a little time to
spend in Brussels-Midi/
Zuid before your train
leaves, you’ll find plenty
of shops and cafés in the
station or just outside, in
Place Victor Horta. See
the station map on the
next page.

YOUR
RETURN JOURNEY
Here are a few things to keep
in mind on your way home.
• The final destination of all
InterCity Express (ICE) trains
from Cologne, Frankfurt or
Aachen is Brussels-Midi/Zuid.
These trains also call at
Brussels Nord, but don’t
get off here – you’ll need to
catch your Eurostar train at
Brussels-Midi/Zuid.
• The Eurostar check-in area at
Brussels-Midi/Zuid is opposite
Sam’s Café on the main
concourse – just look for the
Channel Terminal sign.
• Leave at least 45 minutes to
connect in Brussels-Midi/Zuid.
This includes the 30 minute
check-in time for Eurostar
trains.
If you need help on your return
journey, ask at the Deutsche
Bahn (DB) information desk in
the station.
