APUSH SUMMER ASSIGNMENT 2015

Dear AP US History Student: WELCOME TO APUSH!!!
To prepare for the class, you are required to complete a “SUMMER ASSIGNMENT.” Since the AP
History curriculum is so extensive, reading the beginning chapters of the text makes it possible to
cover more periods of history during the school year.
The Summer Assignment includes the following: (A & B are required – C is optional)
A. CHAPTERS 1-2-3 -- SUMMARIES:
Go Online to the following site: http://wikinotes.wikidot.com/
1) Click on American History (on the left hand side of the screen) - then click on the 12th Edition
• Click on Chapters 1-2-3 -- print a copy of each chapter
2) Read the Chapter Summaries and complete the assignment for each Chapter
(Assign Sheet is attached at the end of this letter)
This Assignment is due at the end of the first week of school.
B. Watch two “ADAM NORRIS” videos on Historical Periods 1 & 2 (10 minute)
• For each video, create a separate hand-written outline – these will be due on the first day of school

Use the MLA format & the “5-paragraph” Essay format for the paper. This will be due on the first day of class for full
credit. (If handed in late – you can still receive partial credit.)
