The 2017 Golf Season will soon be here. The ladies league plays on Tuesdays at 9:30 am on the
Savanna Course (Par 33). League dues for 2017 will be $60.00. $25.00 will pay for each member’s
GHIN handicap fee and the other $35.00 is for expenses related to guest day, year end banquet, match
play prizes, etc. (The $25.00 GHIN fee is not required if you have already paid a 2017 handicap fee in
another state). There is a $2.00 fee each week for prize money for “Game of the Day” and for “Low
Putts”. The 9-hole green fee will be $12.50 for non members of Minnesota National and the cart fee
will be $10.00. These amounts include tax.
If weather permits, our first day of informal golf will be Tuesday, May 2nd at 9:30 am. Our first
official league golf day will be May 9th, with a shotgun start at 9:30 am followed by lunch and
member meeting. Other meeting dates will be June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, and September 12th.
Other important dates to note: Guest Day – July 18; Match Play Tournament – August 22 and 29; and
Year End Golf & Party – September 19. Please note these on your calendar. League members are
encouraged to attend meetings and participate in other special events.
A Ladies Invitational has been scheduled at Minnesota National for Monday, July 31st with a 10am
shot-gun start. I hope you will consider volunteering to help as well as golf in this event.
League officers for this year are: President, Kathy Wood; Co-Vice Presidents, Connie Bartelt and
Barb Marquardsen; and Secretary, Joan Langsdorf. Cheryl Jurek once again volunteered to take
meeting minutes when Joan is away.
We are always looking for new members for our league. If you know of someone that you think might
be interested please email me their name and email address and I will send them all of the information
they need to join.
Please mail your checks by April 25th. That will insure the GHIN fees are paid on time.
