encouraged, but not mandatory for participation.

character from the play)
There will be a children’s class on mask making that children can enter
into an A&S special category in the afternoon. The main A&S category is
masks that best depict a character in the play. I will be expanding on the
write up for the event to include the characters for easy reference.
University is 1 October. Deadline to teach is 24th. Lisette is working on a
theme for Midwinters/A&S.
Music Guild – Rehearsals resume Wednesday.

Brewing – on hold

Chatelaine – Lady Cassair was unable to attended but reported via email: I
have received a few contacts via email including a 13 year boy who sounds
very interested and writes very well for his age. I reminded him that he
would need a parent to attend. I also received an email from a Chatelaine
from Northshield who will be visiting next summer and would like to bring
her brother to a local event. And I received a follow up email from
someone who contacted me earlier and would like to attend our next
Newcomer night.
I also have names and emails for several people we met at Pennsic and plan
to send them email this week to remind them of the upcoming event and
the newcomer/A&S night.
Chancellor Minor – Lady Christiana reported that the Children’s Fete went
well, always looking for people to run activities, she needs a replacement,
her Warrant runs out in December.
Baron and Baroness – Their Excellencies reported they had a good Pennsic,
and a cool camp. Fighting went well, small field from Lochmere, but next
year there will be more. Next year’s goal is 10 and support troops. New
fighting tabards will be made for next year. We would like to see increased
A&S participation next year as well. We have many talented individuals in
the Barony. Much discussion followed with the group regarding siege
weapons…Griffin is bringing his ballista to the next A&S/Combo night for
those interested in participating in siege weaponry. Anyone who is heavy
authorized can participate as well as combat archers. Several are
interested, requesting a list of requirements.
There Excellencies will attend the following Events:
Atlantia 30 year
Baronial Birthday
Coronation
Seneschal – Mistress Arianna reported no further news on the site
database project. Lady Christiana is looking at MD sports facility off route
100 in Howard county, this site may be good for fighter practice. Arianna
heard back from AACO, declining accrediting us because we use weapons and
have pets. Arianna will call them this week to clarify that we don’t use
weapons or have pets if sites don’t allow them. Anne Arundel County sites
could be used for A&S, Unevent, etc without having marshalate activities.
Chamberlin – we could use the position, Saige has volunteered to take the
position which would include keeping a spreadsheet. Please contact her if
you have baronial items.
Site Database – Brendon’s father spoke to church about our use of site that
was used for Community Sewing Day. If he is the POC between the Barony
and the church, the church would be more responsive to allowing the SCA
use of their facility.
Over the next month, Arianna’s office will be directing over time, best way
to reach her is via text message or call her cell.

Entertainment: The Barony of Lochmere is proud to present the 15th
century play, “Everyman”. The premise of Everyman is that the good and
evil deeds of one's life will be tallied by God after death, as in a ledger
book. This play is an allegorical accounting of the life of Everyman, who
represents all mankind, and during the play tries to convince other
characters to accompany him in the hope of improving his account.
