CORD FRONT DRIVE TRANSMISSION,
S/N T228. This transmission is in the crate from
Lee Foldenauer. Lee Foldenauer is a well-known
transmission expert in South Bend, Indiana, and it
appears that this transmission was rebuilt by him and
shipped to the former owner. It is clean, and appears
un-used since the work was done, and is in a nicely
engineered crate. More photos WWW.VAULTCARS.

CORD V-8 ENGINE, S/N FB962. This is an
unsupercharged Cord V-8 engine, in apparently rebuilt
and un-used condition. It is assembled, including
carburetor, intake manifold, pulley, clutch and pressure
plate. A telephone call with Henry Portz, a well-known
rebuilder of Cord engines, revealed that he had rebuilt
this engine in 1980. He was able to access his records
to determine this information. It appears never to
have been installed in a car or run. It is mounted
on a wooden frame with rollers, and is quite clean,
appearing to have been properly stored. I was able to
turn the flywheel easily, so the engine is free and not
seized or stuck. Details: WWW.VAULTCARS.COM,
