Umeda☆Skate Rink "TSURUN TSURUN"
Nakanoshima West Winter Tale
2015
Osaka's new winter activity "Tsurun
Tsurun" is here !
It is an outside skating rink, very unique and
amazing. What makes it unique is plastic
resin panels are used instead of ice. Since
it's located at Umekita hiroba in front of
Grand Front, you can easily stop by when
you shop, before dinner, or even after work.
A 10-meter high emotional tree appears
this year!

The lighting event "Tsurumi Hikari no Hanasajiki" is back this
year again!
Numerous lanterns which cover and light up all over the
square. High light of this event is the laser beam show which
will be held every half an hour for 5 minutes. Also the acoustic
live performance will make your night even more memorable.

Laughter Ritual
An entertainment
spectacle
involving
water and
light showcases the
best of
Osaka,
the aqua
metropolis. Festivities, which include NakanoShima Ring, will centre around Dojima River
(Hotarumachi Pier) which runs between
Nakanoshima and Fukushima.
The most unique and
heartwarming ritual is
held at Hiraoka
Shrine. As the saying
goes, "Fortune smiles
on a merry home", so
give your household
the best chance of
good luck in the New Year by joining the "laughing ritual".
The event kicks off with a ceremony to replace old shimenawa spiritual barriers with new ones, and concludes with
the laughing ritual. The priests lead the crowd for 20 minutes of side-splitting laughter.

Abeno Tennoji Iluminage
This is the 4th year of Abeno Tennoji
Iluminage which is held in Tennoji
Park.
There are millions of illumination
displays throughout Japan, but this is
actually the only one themed "WA
(Japanese style)" . This year, gates,
lanterns, ship, all illuminations inspired
by the Sengoku period take you back
then with sparkling lights.

Festival of the light in OSAKA 2015
During the "Festival of the light in OSAKA", various programs will be
held, including cruises on an illuminated boat, a fountain in a port,
and a music and light show, in addition to the two core programs of
"Osaka Hikari-Renaissance , a colorful illumination held in the
Nakanoshima area, and the "Midosuji Illumination", which decorates
Midosuji Street with illuminations in various colors. Osaka City Central Public Hall will become the stage of light and music show. The
magnificent sight of the large-scale 3D images projected on the
wall of the neo-renaissance styled historic architecture will take
your breath away.

Santa Diver at Osaka Aquarium
A popular annual event of the Christmas season. A
diver dressed like Santa Clause swims in the
Pacific water tank with the whale shark, several
