Movie Nights @ the Tav
Organising a club movie night at the TAV is an easy way to raise funds
or just enjoy a social night out with friends.
Guide to Club Movie bookings
•Club Movie bookings are available most evenings (except
Wednesday’s) subject to Tavern availability.
•Bookings are available for a minimum of 40 guests.
•Booking based on 7-10pm film screening 8pm.
•Tavern Hire $200 to screen 1x movie includes:
Bistro area 7-10pm
Operator for movie screen
Kitchen open for movie snacks (menu below)
Fully licensed bar
40x bean bags will be provided as part of the hire
Copyright license for 1 movie when FREE Entry
Blu Ray DVD purchase of your choice from the catalogue link below
Price on application if wishing to screen 2x movies in one evening
•Roadshow DVD catalogue covering Roadshow, Warner Bros, Icon Films,
UIP (Universal & Paramount) 20th Century Fox, MGM/UA, Buena Vista
(Walt Disney), Becker (Dendy), Hopscotch, Rialto, Magna, Hoyts Dist,
BBC, Polyphony and Footprint can be viewed at

We need at least 3 weeks’ notice of your chosen
movie to apply for the copyright license.
Non-refundable fee of $200 required before booking can be processed.
•When selling tickets or charging a door fee the
following additional copyright fees apply
35% of the ticket/ door sales if the total proceeds received
from the tickets redeemed is greater than $471
Based on 40 tickets sold and redeemed at the door at $10
each no additional fee would apply. 80 tickets sold and
redeemed at the door an additional $115 fee would apply.
Movie tickets with your event details can be provided
within 48hrs from confirmation of booking.
•Advertising of your event
Copy of poster/ advertising materials to be provided within 1x week
of deposit. Approval from Roadshow required prior to distribution.
Generally the use of a copy of your intended
movie cover is allowed on the poster.
•BYO Bean Bags allowed.
•No BYO food or drinks
•Curtin Student Guild tavern is an 18+ venue
and approved ID will be required

Movie Nights outside the Tavern
Subject to availability, the Indoor screen or Outdoor inflatable
screen may be hired for events outside the Tavern (within the
Curtin University grounds) subject to the following costs:
Cost for external screen hire
•Operator to set up and pack down screen for 1x movie $210
•Copyright license to screen 1x movie when FREE entry $165
•35% of the ticket/ door sales if the total proceeds received
from the tickets redeemed is greater than $471
•Based on 100 tickets sold @ $10 and redeemed at the door
and additional $185 copyright fee would apply.
•$75 administration charge (DVD included in price)
•Total Cost $450 plus additional copyright fee if selling tickets
