2nd Annual BVCA National Championships
Take Over Hermosa Beach
The Beach Volleyball Clubs of America paired up with the NVL & Rox Beach Series to host three days of
competitive beach volleyball. From July 8th-10th, teams from all over California and different areas of
the country dug into Hermosa Beach for some top-level competition. This is not just another junior
tournament; the BVCA hosts the best junior event in the country in Hermosa Beach, the mecca of beach
volleyball. The BVCA joined the JVA in 2013 and together the organizations have been collaborating to
continue to provide more opportunities for the junior beach players and
junior beach programs.
“The BVCA was created in order to form a community and a support
system for Beach Volleyball Clubs across America. Together we hope to
grow the game, promote and protect our athletes, improve our programs
and work together as a group to overcome obstacles and reach common

The BVCA had 163 teams and 29 beach clubs from California, Texas, Ohio,
Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Canada, and New Zealand. There was
more than a dozen college coaches recruiting some of the top gplayers in
the country and in the 18's division there were over 50 girls already
verbally committed to colleges around the country.
