President’s Message
I
hope that you and your swimmers
enjoyed the Awards Banquet. The
turnout was great and we were
able to recognize many of our swimmers. Thanks again to Kim Shelton for
putting this together.
Our meet comes up very quick-
ly, in just a couple of weeks. Thank
you to everyone who has signed up
to volunteer. Please be ready to go at
the time you signed up. We're
depending on you to be there. We
hope this does not happen, but if for
some reason you absolutely cannot
help please give us as much notice as
possible. It can be quite difficult to
find someone to replace you on short
notice.
See you at the pool.
College Oct. 23-24. Last I heard, we
had well over 50 Islander swimmers
participating at our meet. This is outstanding! Thank you in advance to all
of our very supportive parents for lending a hand at our meet and making it
a positive experience for everyone. I
hope to see our Islander swimmers continue to participate in meets the rest of
the Fall season.
See you at
the pool.

Earlier this summer, the Islanders welcomed graduates of our spring novice program as fullfledged members of the team! These swimmers have been training very hard with Coach Pedro
since then, and their progress has been amazing. You should try to watch one of their workouts
with Coach Pedro, who has given them great instruction, and has instilled in them an incredible
work ethic. All of the swimmers that I spoke with are really enjoying the sport - even Coach
Pedro's tough workouts - and all of them expressed admiration for Coach Pedro as well.
Congratulations on the job that you've done inspiring these young swimmers, Coach Pedro!
Please enjoy getting to know some of the newest Islanders below.
