Alameda Island Aquatics October, 2010 www.alamedaislanders.org President’s Message I hope that you and your swimmers enjoyed the Awards Banquet. The turnout was great and we were able to recognize many of our swimmers. Thanks again to Kim Shelton for putting this together. Our meet comes up very quick- ly, in just a couple of weeks. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer. Please be ready to go at the time you signed up. We're depending on you to be there. We hope this does not happen, but if for some reason you absolutely cannot help please give us as much notice as possible. It can be quite difficult to find someone to replace you on short notice. See you at the pool. College Oct. 23-24. Last I heard, we had well over 50 Islander swimmers participating at our meet. This is outstanding! Thank you in advance to all of our very supportive parents for lending a hand at our meet and making it a positive experience for everyone. I hope to see our Islander swimmers continue to participate in meets the rest of the Fall season. See you at the pool.
