Modeling A Swirling Fan

Check your Fan Elements for Zero-thickness physical property and
ESC_Air material definition
l Define elements material orientation as Fan Rotating Direction
In Simulation Meshing task：
Select Material Orientation
àShell Element
àTo pick Fan Elements
àUse Standard Axes
àStationary Curve Tangent
àPick Circle Edge
Then Fan rotating direction appears. If you wish to rotate opposite, modify
and rotate orientation 180 degrees.
l Use ESC task to set additional options as blade angle
In Simulation ESC Task：
àChoose Fan
àDefine Fan type as Inlet or Internal Planar, give a proper fan parameter
àSelect Additional Options
àSet Flow Angle
l
Solve your model, and you’ll see the fan is swirling!
