Tom Daley: I think about the gold every second of the day WITH less than a year to go until the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Tom Daley tells First News that his eyes are on the prize – a gold medal – more than ever, after picking up bronze at the London 2012 Olympics. First News caught up with Olympic diver Tom Daley to talk about the issue of bullying, ahead of Anti-Bullying Week in November. Tom, who experienced bullying at school, is the new face of Cartoon Network’s anti-bullying initiative, CN Buddy Network. We asked Tom how training for the Rio Olympics was going. Tom said: “Training is really hard, but it’s going well. I’m in Florida for a couple of weeks for outdoors training, since Rio will be outdoors.” And it seems Great Britain’s golden boy definitely has his eyes on the big prize! On the chance of winning gold next year, Tom said: “It’s the thing I think about every single second of the day. It’s my life!” In August next year, Tom will join more than 10,000 athletes at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
