Neehr Perfect Guide to Taking Screenshots
Overview
This guide covers how to take screenshots. Some Neehr Perfect activities ask you to
submit a screenshot of your work in the EHR to your instructor. The steps to follow
when taking a screenshot will vary depending on if you’re using a PC or Mac
computer.
Instructions
Taking a screenshot using a PC (Microsoft Windows)
1. Press the PrtSc button on your keyboard. This will copy the image on your
screen to the clipboard, a behind-the-scenes storage area.
a. Depending on your keyboard, this button may also be labeled PrtScn,
PrntScr, or Print Screen and is typically found on the top row.
b. Note: You will not receive any audio or visual confirmation that the
screenshot was taken.
2. Open a Microsoft Word document (or other editing program you’d like to use to
submit your work).
3. Select Paste (or press Ctrl + V on your keyboard) to insert the screenshot into
the document

Taking a screenshot using a Mac (OS X)
1. Press the Command + Control + Shift + 3 buttons on your keyboard. This will
copy the image on your screen to the clipboard, a behind-the-scenes storage
area.
a. Note: You will hear a sound like a camera shutter if your volume is on
