7th Grade Language Arts, 2016-2017 Dannette Craft [email protected] Reid Parkes [email protected] Course Introduction: Seventh grade Language Arts is designed to further student excellence in reading, writing and critical analysis of literary passages. Absences: Absent students are expected to keep up to date on class work and homework. It is the student’s responsibility to retrieve any missed homework from the homework bin or from the teacher. In the case of a lengthy illness, parents are encouraged to pick up books and assignments from the office. For each excused absence, the student will have one extra day to complete the assignment. (EX: 2 absences=2 extra days). Anything that was assigned before the student’s illness is due the day he/she returns to school. Homework and Long Term Assignment Policy: Responsibility is a top priority at SSA+S! Students must turn in homework when it’s due. No excuses will be accepted from student or parents. Students are expected to use the agenda book to record assignments and check Blackboard in the evening. Incomplete homework will not be accepted. Late work will receive a deduction for up to three days. After three days, the student will receive no higher than a 50% if the assignment is turned in. Projects and long term assignments may NOT be turned in late. Homework must be completed individually unless instructed by teacher. Plagiarism or copying from any source will result in zero credit for the assignment and consequences according to school policy.
