You will be completing Exercises 1, 2, and 4 in lab this week.

2. Cite examples of and understand the difference between reproductive cells and somatic
cells. Be able to apply the terms diploid and haploid, and know whether mitosis or meiosis take

4. Describe the cell cycle, its stages, and the activities that occur in each stage.
5. How does cytokinesis occur in plant cells? In animal cells?
6. Describe the stages of meiosis and describe the events that occur in each stage.
7. Compare/contrast mitosis and meiosis. Fill in the following table from your lab manual.
