CALENDAR OF EVENTS:

A NOTE FROM MR. CLAES...
At WCS, we often times talk about our opportunity to educate the whole child. By this, we mean
that we seek to help students grow in all aspects—spiritually, academically, socially, and
emotionally.
Another aspect of educating the whole child is
offering diverse extra-curricular activities that
enhance learning and social development.
The other day I was walking the halls after
school, and it was a joy to see the multitude of
activities going on. Down one hallway were students taking violin lessons, in the gym students
were practicing basketball, and in yet another
hallway Robotics Club was taking place. This
was just one day!
Giving students a well rounded education is
something we seek to do each day throughout the
year. What an awesome privilege to see lives
transformed through the power of a Christcentered education!
Operation Christmas Child
It has been a WCS tradition for many years—
collecting shoeboxes for OCC! This year’s boxes are
due by Friday, November 22nd. If you register your
box online, you will get a follow up
e-mail that tracks your box to its
final destination. Official OCC
boxes are available in the office on
a first come-first serve basis. We
would love to have everyone contribute at least one box to OCC!
Moms in Prayer
The Moms in Prayer group meets each Wednesday at
9:15. All moms are welcome to come and pray!

Christmas Program
Our annual Christmas program will be held on
Thursday, December 19. This program will be
for the whole school, featuring students in
PreK through 8th grade. It promises to be a
wonderful evening of celebrating our Lord’s
birth through music. The program begins at
7:00 p.m. Middle School students will need to
arrive at 6:30 and elementary students by 6:45. Students are expected to dress nicely for the concert.
Movie Party
We will be having a school-wide movie
party on Monday, November 25, to celebrate meeting our Eagle Card sales goal!
Thanks to everyone for helping us meet
this goal by selling cards. We will be
showing “Monsters University” beginning
at 1:30 p.m. Light snacks will be provided and students are permitted to bring
in pillows to be used at the movie party.
SmileSafe Kids
You should have received 2 free ID cards from the SmileSafe Kids
program. These cards are provided through Lifetouch Studios, the
company that does our school portraits. To learn more about this
program, visit www.smilesafekids.com
Ohio Alerts
We encourage all parents to sign up for alerts through the Ohio
