The Thoughtful You - Bring It Out! Contest
Terms and Conditions
1. Organised by the Land Transport Authority (“LTA”), the “Thoughtful You – Bring It Out!” Contest (“the
Contest”) is open to all primary and secondary schools registered under the Ministry of Education
(MOE).
2. By submitting an entry, schools/participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and
agreed to abide by all Terms and Conditions set out by LTA for the Contest.
3. The participants hereby give LTA an exclusive, perpetual and royalty-free right and licence to use,
adapt, edit, display, modify, publish or otherwise make use of the submissions (in whole or in part) in
Singapore or on any media deemed appropriate by LTA for any purpose whatsoever without any
payment or compensation to the participants.
4. The participants agree and consent to LTA using their names and/or personal information submitted
in the contest without prior notice or compensation for LTA’s publicity purposes for an unlimited
duration.
5. All entries will be assessed according to the following judging criteria:

How appropriate and relevant is your character/thoughtful
action to the theme of graciousness on public transport? Does

it inspire others to make the journey more pleasant for
commuters?
How unique is the concept, as well as the innovative means
used to deliver the message. Extra points will be given if the
character name/thoughtful action is especially memorable!
Creativity
One example is the use of alliteration to link the character
name to the thoughtful action such as “Stand-Up Stacey” or
“Give-Way, Glenda”.
How attractive is the overall look of the character as well as its
Aesthetics
ability to engage, fascinate and inspire commuters to be
thoughtful on public transport.

6. All winners will be notified via email or phone. Winners will be required to attend a prize presentation
ceremony. Details of the prize presentation ceremony will be sent to the winners via email. Please
ensure that the contact details submitted are valid.
7. Valid identification documents are required when the prize is being collected.
8. All prizes are non-transferable, not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, and shall be subject to
such terms and conditions, which the LTA may at its sole discretion, impose. LTA is allowed to, at its
sole discretion, exchange or substitute, add or alter any item on the list of prizes offered without prior
notice and without liability to any person.
9. LTA’s decision on all matters relating to this Contest shall be final and binding.
10. LTA reserves the right to amend or modify, at any time, any of these Terms and Conditions without
prior notice.
