Take the first left towards the beach 4. Take the steps on the right hand side down towards the beach, at the bottom of these steps turn right 5.Reach the lifeboat station and enter 6. On a day in August in 1934 a motor boat with a name easily associated with Antarctica was rendered assistance. What date in August was this? 7. Add these numbers together to get a one digit number for your directions. 8. Return on the path you got here on and walk along the lower path by the beach until you reach the little shelter to find the next clue 9. What year was the shelter erected? Cross the road, staying in the same direction and the left road passing the shop Man of War on your right, when you see the Bell Rock Hotel turn right on that side of the road and continue. 11. Turn left just after Blonde Hair and Beauty, the perfect place to get a relaxing treatment whilst on holiday, and before you reach the Foredeck Sale room, unless you want to pop in first to get a fantastic bargain on Scilly clothing!! 12. Continue forward, the old fire station for the islands is on the right, pass this and reach Porthcressa’s Promenade. 13. Dibble and Grub is a lovely spot on the right hand side here to collect your thoughts with a drink or snack if needed! Or the play park to the right hand side of the beach is a lovely spot to stop and play. 14. Count the large semi circled bench areas for your next direction clue. Before the last semi circled bench, take the steps up and back down, veer to the right and go between the buildings over the cobbles. 16. Go into the park, this photo clue will help you find the next clue. Add these numbers together until you have a two digit number, these two digits should be used separately on your clue sheet. 17. Walk to the other end of the park and out, go left and find the ‘Scillonian Club’ for your next clues. 18. What day in May in 1921 was the Scillonian Club opened by HRH The Prince of Wales? Take away from this the day in August in 1965 that The Rt Hon Harold Wilson opened the Lyonesse Bar. The 2 digit number you are left with can be used as the next number on your clue sheet. 27. Enter Tregarthen’s Hotel when you reach it on the right hand side. 28. When facing the place you have found your last number turn around, cross the road and walk between the two Mumfords. 22. Turn right when you reach the Old Wesleyan Chapel 23. Turn right when you reach Prospect House and pass the Old Customs House on the left. 24. Under the arch and cross the road in order to look back at the Post Office and get your next clue. Add the numbers together and keep doing so until you have a one digit number. Divide this number by the amount of feet Bad Barney said you must dig downwards. 25. Turn right and continue 26.
