Salisbury Parkway Salisbury, MD 21801 (410) 548-3165 45th PRESS RELEASE August 2, 2013 OnJuly 29,2013officers officers of the Salisbury Police Department responded to the Eagle Express Mart located at 1312 N. Salisbury Blvd. in reference to a burglary to an office. office The investigation revealed that at approximately 12:34 P.M. a black male and black female entered the business and appeared to be watching the clerk. During the incident the male subject forced opened ed a door to the office and stole an undisclosed amount of currency. Both subjects exited the business without making a purchase. Att approximately 1:25 P.M. officers responded to the Gordy Tiger Mart located at 2403 N. Salisbury Blvd. in reference to suspicious activity.The investigation nvestigation revealed that a black male and black femaleentered entered the business and appeared to be watching the clerk. During the incident the female distracted the clerk and the male went behind the sales counter and was observed looking king at the safe and cash registers. The black male was acting as if he was conducting an inventory and then exited the store without making a purchase. The female then exited the store without making a purchase. Both subjects were seen entering a white in color vehicle (possibly a Hyundai Sonata) with gold trim that was parked in adjacent parking lot. Nothing was stolen during this incident. Officers obtained the following photograph photographs of the suspect from the surveillance video inside the businesses. The suspects were not located and are described as: Suspect # 1 - Black male, 5’10”,, large build, 40 – 50 years of age, gray facial hair (possibly a goatee), wearing a dark in color “Dogfish Head” baseball ball style hat, dark in color short rt sleeve shirt, dark in color apron, dark in color pants, sunglasses. The clothing attire appears to be a work style uniform associated with the food industry.
