Welcome New Faculty Members! As you embark upon your teaching career here at ELAC I would like to
invite you to our orientation series for new faculty. In this sixth year for the NFI, we are excited to have
you join us as a new tenure track faculty member.
Through the NFI we provide new faculty with a unique opportunity to meet other new faculty members,
participate in discussions about teaching and learning, and learn about effective practices to use in the
classroom.
We know that collaboration and dialog are very important to creating a community of successful
instructors. You are strongly encouraged to become a part of the NFI.
Below you will find the 2013-2014 meeting schedule. We have tried to keep consistent with the third
Friday of every month as much as possible.
IMPORTANT! On Friday, September 20th, a general orientation will be held. The location is G1-301ab
(Administration Building).
The program will begin at 9:00 am and will include very important information that you don’t want to
miss.
