Tourist Drive 14
From the Mountain to the Sea
Tourist Drive 14 takes you off the Pacific Highway
through pretty coastal villages within the
Nambucca and Macleay Valleys. Start at the north
entry point of Scotts Head road or alternatively
begin at the southern point at Brushbox Road which
leads into Stuarts Point Road.
Villages along
Tourist Drive 14
You will discover quaint coastal communities along Tourist
Drive 14. All offer their own piece of paradise and combined
deliver an array of experiences that you will delight in
exploring. From fishing, surfing & boating to the farming of
local bananas, stone fruit, macadamias & avocados to
beautiful works of art created by local artisans, your journey
will be all the more for experiencing these villages.
Scotts Head
This coastal village has a well known surf break & has a family
friendly beach. Popular for fishing - there is a boat launch
from the southern end of Main (Forster) Beach and surfing,
including stand up paddle boarding. Scotts Head Reserve is
a great picnic spot with kids’ playground, amenities, BBQ’s
undercover seating.
GRASSY Head
Just down the road from Scotts Head you will find the
small township of Grassy Head. Walk to the headland for a
vantage point that takes in views all the way to South West
Rocks.
STUARTS POINT
A popular fishing village situated along the banks of the
Macleay River. Paddle your kayak down the river or stroll
across the footbridge to the beach. The Stuarts Point Picnic

of Ocean Street and meanders through native bushland
and mangroves for 2.5kms ending at Grassy Head.
YARRAHAPINNI
This area is dotted with farms and acre-lots of macadamias,
avocados and fruit trees including stone fruit. A visit to the

Unkya Reserve has long been a community space & is now
home to the “Funkya@Unkya” market, a large mosaic of the
same name and a natural playground.
