forward to servicing our Baker’s customers for many years
ahead and appreciated their patience during the transition
last summer.

Excel will stay a family business
Over the last couple years my two sons, Zach and Jordan,
left their careers and came back to West Michigan to join
our family business. Many of you might have met them as
they delivered propane to your house, installed a new
tank, or were working in the office. Most importantly, you
can be assured that Excel Propane will continue on for
another generation as a local-family owned and operated
business with a customer focused approach.
While we are always excited to have a new customer
join the Excel Propane family, we highly value all of
you, our current customers. That’s why we work
hard to provide consistent and fair pricing to ALL of
our customers year after year. Unfortunately some
companies hide their high regular prices, and only
advertise low-ball promotional prices. We know that
being upfront and honest is how we would want to
be treated and that is how we will treat you!

Price Cap Program
While propane prices have remained very reasonable the
last couple years, we did see market prices rise this
winter. Customers that participated in our Price Cap
Protection Program saved on average about $175 (up to
30¢ per gallon) by having their price capped. Keep an eyeout for our Price Cap Sign-Up form that will come out in
early July.

comfort of stable prices with our Price Cap Protection
Plan, which caps your price to a maximum 10-cent
increase from August 1st through April 30th.
It’s smart to protect against rising energy prices and
you can do that with our Price Cap Protection Plan for
only $65.00 per year. Watch for the signup forms being
mailed July 1st.

delivery and receive a 5-cent per
gallon cash discount. You’ll find the
discount terms printed on your
delivery ticket if eligible. Sorry, COD customers and
payments by credit card do not qualify for the cash
discount.
Safety information
How can you tell if
there is a propane leak?
Answer: By the smell.
A disagreeable odor (similar to rotten eggs) is added to
propane so that you will be able to detect the smell easily
in case a leak develops.
If you think you smell gas …
1) Get everyone out of the building. Don’t use light
switches, appliances, or the phone.
2) Turn off the gas using the shut-off valve on the tank.
3) Call Excel Propane or the fire department from a
neighbor’s home.
Remote monitors
Do you use your home seasonally or have an
alternative heat source, but would like to join
our Keep-Full Pan? Get a remote monitor for
$10/month and you can enjoy the Keep-Full
Plan and save 5-cents per gallon!
