There were many different kinds of dinosaurs and they were all different sizes.
Some were carnivore, they ate meat and others were herbivore, they ate plants.
Most dinosaurs had four legs, but some had two small front ones, like arms. This
made it easier for dinosaurs to catch and kill animals.
One dinosaur was called Diplodocus and it weighed the same as five elephants. It
couldn’t run fast. Others had very long necks so that they could eat leaves at the
top of trees.
Some dinosaurs used their body parts to protect themselves.
Scientists believe that the Diplodocus used its tail to fight.
All dinosaurs laid eggs.
The dinosaurs aren’t alive now. They are extinct. Scientists study dinosaurs’
fossils to know more about them.
