Hosted by HE Mr Eugeniusz Sawicki, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland and held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s (the Centre) Plenary Theatre, the “Flute and Piano Concert” saw Ms Kotnotwska enthrall her audience with a repertoire of Polish classics including Poulenc’s Allegro malinconico, Mozart’s Menuetto primo, Chopin’s Mazurka, and Bizet and Borne’s Carmen Fantasy. She was accompanied by talented pianist and fellow Pole, Mr Adrzej Jungiewicz. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Ms Kotnowska started her musical education at the age of ten, and for the next seven years, played three instruments: the flute, the violin, and piano. After winning several national flute competitions at the age of 15, she quickly established herself as a flute soloist. Since then, Kotnowska has performed internationally in such prestigious venues as Tivoli Hall, Copenhagen; Grieg Hall, Bergen; Palau de Musica, Barcelona; Teatro Real, Madrid; the Purcell Room, London; De Doelen Hall and Eisbrijker Hall, Rotterdam; Concert Homage for J.
