Students, it's important that you attend school every day. If you are pulled out for an appointment, please come to school before the appointment and return after the appointment. This not only helps you keep up with your academics, but it helps your teachers with planning, and it helps to fund our school. Attention all students! We have an important announcement about our school-wide schedule change during the last two weeks of April. During the week of the 18th and 25th of April, in efforts to accommodate 11th grade SBAC best testing practices, we are instituting a Block Schedule. Please listen carefully! What that means is the following... Attention students, Prom ticket sales are running now until April 20th. Prices $75 and $95. This year’s theme is A Masquerade. Remember, ALL students planning to attend PROM will need to have all fines cleared and no detentions owed for M3. A list of students who owe detentions are posted in several areas. If you need a guest pass, please see Ms. Roberts or Ms. Stoner or go by the library at lunch to pick one up. Remember, if you are buying a bid and going with a guest, you must have the guest pass approved first. How much spirit do you have, come and tryout for the 2016-2017 CHEERLEADING SEASON. Cheerleading applications are available in the library and front office. See Coach Lugo in the library for more information. Students, great job with Spirit Week last week and showing spirit at our rally. A big thank you to Mr. Sherman for being a trooper and taking the pie. Congratulations to Selena Rivas and Araceli Valencia for being our top 2 prize winners for best spirit. And congratulations to our Freshmen for winning the class spirit competition. This means all freshmen can go to the library Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week during lunch and receive your candy prize from Ms. Roberts. You must have your ID to claim your prize. Attention seniors. Cap and Gown hand out will be May 12th. There is a meeting today in Mr. Esparzas room which is B9 for all seniors where we will discuss upcoming events. Included will be potential signups for Senior vs. Staff basketball, senior vs staff softball and Buff-Puff volleyball. See you there today at the beginning of lunch. BSU meets every Tuesday at lunch in A7. Just a reminder if you are scheduled to attend the Field Trip for the “Maggie Steele Presentation at Franklin High School please report to the front of the school at 8:15 tomorrow morning…… Seniors need “Cash for College” check out the Scholarship board by room E7. Delta Kings & Queens have you’ve been accepted to any UC’s or CSU’s, private Universities or Vocational Schools? or granted any Scholarships……..If so, please bring a copy of the letter to Mrs. Suarez or Ms. Hernandez. Just a reminder if you received a “Field Trip form” for the College & Career Fair and the WACAC they are due April 15 to the Career Center. Summer Hire Manufacturing Internships for High School Juniors and Seniors The North Central Valley STEM Center and Rare Parts, Inc. have partnered to develop Summer Hire, which is a manufacturing internship program for high school juniors and seniors. This is a paid internship that will span 8 weeks starting in early June and running through July. This internship is ideal for students in Engineering and other Career Technical Education programs that use skills such as: drafting, AUTO CAD, Solid Works to name a few. This internship will involve hands-on training and work as well as using computer technology. The application deadline is tomorrow, April 15th. Email completed applications to [email protected].
