FRONTIER ACCESS HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM
Class:
1st-3rd Grade Space: Spring Semester 2013
Course Overview:
We will be following The Core Knowledge
Scope and Sequence and using the Colorado
State Frameworks for astronomy. We will
be crafting as we learn, so look for fun
projects that showcase our knowledge.
Since this class is multi-age, I will do my
best to tailor the activities and skill levels to
the needs of the students enrolled. Look
for your child’s copy of the study guide for
this unit!
About the Teacher:
Amy Huang, a former
homeschooler, graduated
from Oral Roberts
University with a degree
in Elementary Education.
She taught first and
second grade in Arkansas,
Pennsylvania, and Colorado for over seven
years. Amy and her husband live in Greeley
and attend Christ Community Church. Mrs.
Huang is currently a stay at home mom,
raising their two sons. When she’s not busy
with her family, Amy enjoys reading,
traveling, and crafting.
