FRONTIER ACCESS HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM Class: 1st-3rd Grade Space: Spring Semester 2013 Course Overview: We will be following The Core Knowledge Scope and Sequence and using the Colorado State Frameworks for astronomy. We will be crafting as we learn, so look for fun projects that showcase our knowledge. Since this class is multi-age, I will do my best to tailor the activities and skill levels to the needs of the students enrolled. Look for your child’s copy of the study guide for this unit! About the Teacher: Amy Huang, a former homeschooler, graduated from Oral Roberts University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught first and second grade in Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Colorado for over seven years. Amy and her husband live in Greeley and attend Christ Community Church. Mrs. Huang is currently a stay at home mom, raising their two sons. When she’s not busy with her family, Amy enjoys reading, traveling, and crafting.
