WRAPC AREA TRIALS HOY TEAM SHOW JUMPING – 2016/2017 Season
Venue: Albertland Pony Club, Saturday 10 December 2016. 5208 Kaipara Coast Highway, Hoteo
North, State Highway 16. 5kms south of Wellsford.
Start Time: 10:00am
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
1. Successful Team Members MUST BE ABLE to attend the Horse of the Year, in Hastings, March 2017.
2. NZPCA General Regulations (updated September 2015) Chapter 3, Rule 15. Working Rallies applies.
a. Dispensation - Working Rallies Rule 15.6 applies.
3. ESNZ Show Jumping Rules apply.
4. Competition will be 2 rounds of TAM3, with call back for jump off.
5. Scoring – points will be allocated 1st = 10pts, 2nd = 9pts.......9th = 2pts, 10th = 1pt.
a. The points of the two rounds will be added together and the riders with the most points will be
declared the Team Members and the Reserves.
b. The statutory 30 minutes will be given after the results have been posted for any concerns to be
officially lodged.
c. It is up to each rider to ensure they are aware of these results before the official presentation of
placings at the end of competition.
d. In the event of a draw, the riders concerned will have a jump off at their respected heights
6. Pony riders 16 & under, eligible to end of season rider turns 17. Season 1 August to 31 July.
7. Hack riders under 21, eligible to end of season rider turns 21. Season 1 August to 31 July.

9. Riders must complete and bring with their Entry, the Rider Declaration of Intent form (attached).
10. Riders competing for selection to the Team must complete and bring to the event the Rider Information,
Rider Participation and Rider Indemnity forms. (please download off our website, under Entry Forms).
11. Waitemata Rodney Area Pony club Inc., reserves the right to carry out random drug testing as applied to
competitors and animals.
12. The Team will be announced on the day, at the prize giving.
13. The Team will consist of 2 pony riders and 2 hack riders, with 1 pony reserve and 1 hack reserve.
14. Selected Team members and Reserves must stay and ensure all forms, as required by NZPCA, are
completed before leaving the Trial.
15. Team members and reserves are required to attend meetings and training sessions as arranged by the Team
Manager and / or Team Coach
16. Eliminated riders may be considered for the team only if Area is unable to fill the team.
NOTE: Team members who have NOT entered any HOY competitions must arrange and pay for their own
accommodation and organise their own accommodation and caring for their horses, while down at HOY.

3. If I am selected as Reserve for the Championship team, I am prepared to travel with the team
if required by the Area, and attend all training requirements as deemed necessary by the
Team Coach / Team Manager.
I understand that by submitting my entry to the Area Trials, I am making myself available to
represent my Area as part of the Championship team at the chosen venue at the date specified
for the competition.
Failing to do so may mean I will not be entitled to enter any future Area Trials, unless the reason
given is considered to be satisfactory by the Area Judiciary Committee.
