Assembly instruction Series QMA 0000404564 Connector type: 11_XQMA-W50-3-12 Suitable cables: SM-141 , MF-141 Assembly steps: Parts list connector: Picture Inner conductor contact: Soldered Outer conductor contact: Soldered Process Feature / Check For SM cable Prepare cable according to diagram. Form tip of inner conductor to a 90° cone. Dimension 15 mm applies to SUCOFORM w ith jacket. Stripping tool W 157. Cut cable end perpendicular to For detailed description cable axis. see instruction DOC-0000199604. Do not damage inner Blades (74_Z-0-0-68) conductor, dielectric and braid. Tip trimmer tool W 164 For Multiflex cable Dive the on length cutted cable in flux and tin. Cut in jacket until screen. Remove jacket. Remove cable dielectric and tinned braid according to diagram. Form tip of inner conductor to a 90° cone. B A Inserts W 360 M A Push contact B into contact holder W 54. Heat contact B using a dry soldering iron. Flow small amount of solder into bore hole of contact, insert inner conductor of cable and solder to contact. The solder must flow at behind for min. 8 mm. If the cable does not fit into the cable entry, use a flat-nose plier to calibrate the braid. Tools required Blades (74_Z-0-0-68) Flat-nose plier Tip trimmer tool W 164 Contact B flush to dielectric. Clean contact B and cable dielectric, remove excess solder. Mount locator tool W 360 M onto body A. Insert cable into connector body A. Remove locator tool. Soldering iron Solder Locator tool W 360 M W 456 Push connector A completely against locator tool W 456. Solder connector A to cable. Immediately cool dow n and clean w ith alcohol. Avoid excessive heat. Promptly sw ap soldered area w ith alcohol to cool joint and remove any residual flux. Soldering fixture W 58 or W 442 Inserts W 60 (SM-86) Inserts W 364 (MF-86) Locator tool W 456 W 58 or W 442 C A Slide shrink tube C over solder neck and shrink to connector body A. Dimension X max. 1mm. For achieving better adhesive sealing of the shrinking tube, clean surfaces on body and cable, e.g. w ith Acetone. Hot-air fan Avoid excessive heat. Acetone Heat Time max. 12-15 s. Glue of the shrink tube has to ooze out slightly on both sides. No tears and damage to the cap Visual Pay attention: QMA-W50-Connectors hav e to be coupled caref ully ( O-Ring gasket). QMA-Female-Connectors hav e to correspond to standard ref erence plane has to be proper and not damaged.
