CAMP ANDERSON DAY CAMP
Camp Anderson has provided traditional day camping on the shores of Lake 16 (east of Conway) for over 50 years, and has been overseen
by Marty Reese (Running Bear) for the past 13 years. Camp Anderson is the ideal place for your child to experience the summer outdoors.
Your child will have the opportunity to participate in events like canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboard, swimming, hiking, arts & crafts,
archery, nature, sports, skits, and much more. Each week has a unique theme so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Campers are
bussed to and from Camp Anderson Monday - Friday at 8:30am & 4:30pm. Extended care is available at the YMCA Sports Center.

CAMP ANDERSON LEADERSHIP IN TRAINING (LIT)
ENTERING GRADE 9
The goal of Camp Anderson’s LIT camp program is to teach the general skills of leadership that can be used at school, home,
and community; not just camp. The curriculum includes working with younger kids at camp, class work, observing counselors,
and then discussion. The program gives age-appropriate challenges that build their skills, confidence, and capacity for working
with people of all ages. This also prepares program participants for the Camp Anderson CIT (Counselor in Training); CIT interviews take place the preceding March. Numbered courses are similar, with new content each level, but do not need to be taken
in order.
These sessions do not participate in field trips.
