the board. The director may also serve as general
counsel of the division and as assistant secretary of the
board and in such capacities shall be authorized to
perform duties provided by appropriate regulations or
resolutions of the board under conditions and
limitations included therein.

The head of the department is the Governor and
Cabinet. The executive director of the department shall
be appointed by the Governor with the approval of
three members of the Cabinet and subject to
confirmation by the Senate. The executive director shall

The head of the Department of Environmental
Protection shall be a secretary, who shall be appointed
by the Governor, with the concurrence of three or more
members of the Cabinet. The secretary shall be
confirmed by the Florida Senate. The secretary shall
serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

board, including a board consisting of the Governor and

The head of the office is the Director of the Office of
Financial Regulation, who may also be known as the
Commissioner of Financial Regulation. The commission
shall appoint or remove each director by a majority vote
consisting of at least three affirmative votes, with both
the Governor and the CFO on the prevailing side.

The head of the Office of Insurance Regulation is the
Director of the Office of Insurance Regulation, who may
also be known as the Commissioner of Insurance

CFO on the prevailing side.
