MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL – As I write this message I can’t help but wonder where the school
year has gone. Perhaps it is a sign of age, as my parents like to say, but time seems to be accelerating.
We are already preparing to say farewell to the senior class. It seems like yesterday we met in the study
hall to open the year and welcome students back. It is a pleasure to see our young people mature and
prepare for the next stage in their life. Plans for graduation activities, awards ceremonies and class
functions are well underway. I look forward to the remainder of their high school career being an
outstanding and enjoyable one as they get ready to embark on the next leg of their journey.
The students of CHS continue to astound me with their talents and accomplishments. Some are highlighted
in this newsletter, but many others take place daily. It is a pleasure to work with such talented young
people. Please take time to converse with a student about all that they have going on. The CLK community
has much to celebrate. As senior activities are taking place and the spring season is finally here, the
underclassmen face the challenge of staying focused. Students, remember to be gritty and continue to work
hard and represent yourself well. Keep striving for excellence as I am confident you will. Go Kings!
