Every Rotarian Every Year
We are starting a new Rotary year. Our Club has pledged $10,000, and any contributions
will be greatly appreciated. In order to be a sustaining member of the Foundation, one must give
$100 or more in each year. By doing this, you will help insure the great programs of The Rotary
Foundation stay on course providing the much needed money for the projects we come up with.
At present we have 5 Major Donors in our club (giving $10,000 or more). Once you contribute
$100, your name will be posted here as a sustaining member, as the following know:
David Anderson, Win Arneson, Deanne Baker, John Fish, Mary Fish, Morris Goodman, Valerie Murphy Goodrich, Rick Goward, Joe Hallissey, Art Hamparian, Lee Hollmann, Dan Hogan, Graham Hosker, Roger Hosn, Bob Houston, Don Karcher, Aldo Martin, Jack Mueller,
Jane Mueller, Frank Padzieski ,Tim Richards, Merritt Robertson, Rick Ruth, Dave Sample,
Darlene Schoolmaster, John Snyder, Jim Thorpe, Bill White.
Thank you, and keep up the good work.
Please remember that we can‟t stop giving, because the need doesn‟t stop. Thank you.

was the winner for the day.
Announcements:
 President Margaret reminded us that next week, we
celebrate the 106th Birthday of Rotary International. A
special observance will be held at the Allen Park Rotary
Club meeting next Wednesday noon.
 The Edsel Ford Interact Club is constructing a mosaic out of donor designed ceramic plaques. This is a
fund raiser for Shelter Box, and donations range from
$25 to $100 for 6x6, 6x12, or 12x12 inch sizes. For further information, contact Colette Dunsmore, our liaison
with their club, for details.
 To date, our Shelter Box project has $1591 in
hand, an anonymous pledge for $1000, commitment of
up to $1000 in match from our Foundation, and 4 of our
high schools and Interact Clubs have fundraisers
planned or in progress.
 The annual “St. Paddy’s Party” is scheduled for
Friday, March 11th, 5:30-11 at Park Place. Once again,
event organizer John McDonald has good Irish Music,
Irish food, raffle prizes and fun for the entire family on
the agenda. Tickets are $20 per person, with any profit
going to Rotary. John needs some additional raffle
prizes, and some volunteers to take shifts selling tickets.
Please contact him if you can help. (There will be no
regular meeting on Thursday, March 10th.)
 Dearborn Rotary, under Amy Bazzi‟s leadership, is
sponsoring a “Shares and Cares” fundraiser breakfast
benefitting adult literacy on Friday, April 1st. Two of our
Dearborn Rotarians have already been certified as tutors
for the project. Matt Roush will MC the program at the
Hyatt Regency. Breakfast is free, but bring your generous friends and their check books. Consider sponsoring
a table of 10 for $100. Goal is to get 200 attendees at
the session.
 Don Karcher announced the Sixth Annual Dinner
and Auction benefitting the Fallen and Wounded Soldier Fund. The event will be held at the former Rock
Financial Showcase in Novi, on March 26th. The event

their help, and then recognized the Interact Clubs for
really great support of the project.

Per agreements, $2,025 went to Fairlane Sunrise for
their help, and $1130 to Wayne County Parks. Overall
