Song:
Print out the train template. If printing in black and white, print on coloured
paper.
Cut out template pieces. Adults may need to help with the cutting
Glue face on front of train
Glue smokestack onto the top. Glue a cotton ball to the smokestack for
pretend smoke. Children can colour the cotton ball with gray or black felt.
Glue wheels on the botton of the train
Young children may have an easier time attaching the cars, cotton balls, etc. if
they glue everything to a background piece of construction paper.
Peanut Sat on the Railroad Track (sung to: Polly Wolly Doodle)

Her heart was all a flutter
Along came the 615
Toot, toot, …lemonade
Oh, the grapes sat on the railroad track
Their hearts were all a flutter
Along came the 615
Toot, toot, …jelly
Oh, the apples sat on the railroad track
Their hearts were all a flutter
Along came the 615
Toot, toot, …applesauce

A yellow school bus goes beep-beep-beep
And we all go traveling by, bye-bye’
And we all go traveling by
I spy with my little eye
You can hear with your little ear
A bright red truck goes rumble-rumble-rumble
A yellow school bus goes beep-beep-beep
And we all go traveling by, bye-bye’
And we all go traveling by
I spy with my little eye
You can hear with your little ear
A long blue train goes chuff-chuff-chuff
A bright red truck goes rumble-rumble-rumble
A yellow school bus goes beep-beep-beep
And we all go traveling by, bye-bye’
And we all go traveling by
I spy with my little eye
