Areas of investigation will include energy, climate change, farming, land, air, and water pollution. Students will learn how the Earth’s chemical changes have impacted the world—by not just reading about and discussing them, but by visiting sites where these changes have occurred. Students will keep a journal during the trip, recording their observations, reactions, and forming hypotheses at the various areas visited. They will present their experiences through oral presentations upon their return. Tentative Travel Itinerary June 10 Leave U.S. and fly to Santorini, Greece, through Athens June 11 Arrive in Santorini, Greece June 12 Santorini (visit to Perissa and the Black Sand beach) June 13 Santorini (visit to Caldera and Oia) June 14 Santorini (visit to winery and museum) June 15 Leave Santorini; arrrive in Athens (visit Plaka) June 16 Athens (visit Acropolis, museum, agora) June 17 Leave for Chios (sightseeing in Chios) June 18 Chios (visit Emporios, Komi, and Cave in Olympi) June 19 Chios (visit Mastic areas and museum) June 20 Leave Chios; fly back to U.S. Deposit of $1,840 made payable to Nova Southeastern University is due by February 15, 2016 Second payment of $2000 made payable to Nova Southeastern University is due by March 7, 2016 by 2 pm.
