Dear Parent/Carer
Weather permitting, Year 3 (Beech & Oak) will be walking to Weaver Park on Thursday 14th July 2016.
Along with using our great map skills to get us there, we will be checking out the local pond and plant life
and looking at how our local area has changed over time.
If you wish your child to order a lunch bag or if you will be providing them with one please indicate on the
slip below. If you are not ordering a lunch bag from school your child will need to bring their packed lunch
in a disposable bag clearly labelled with their name as we plan on enjoying a picnic while we’re there. We
will be leaving school at 9:30am so children will also need a morning snack and a drink of water to enjoy
on arrival.
As the weather has been extremely unpredictable of late, we ask that children come to school in old clothes
and shoes that are comfortable for walking (trainers, wellies or walking boots would be ideal). The trip
will be cancelled if it is raining on the day. If the weather is warm and sunny, we ask that sun cream is
applied before your child comes to school. Extra sun cream can be passed to staff on the day but we ask
that this is clearly labelled with your child’s name so that we can get this back to you.
Children should be collected from school as normal.
