Welcome Packet

Dear Cibola Vista Guest,
Welcome to the Cibola Vista Resort and Spa and the
spectacular Valley of the Sun.
I would like to personally invite you to contact the Cibola
Vista Concierge directly, at extension 6712 for help in
setting up your vacation activities. In addition to having
many ideas for vacation fun and adventure, our
Concierge will make available to you the many discounts
which we have negotiated for the benefit of our guests.
In addition to taking advantage of the wide variety of
outdoor activities just minutes away from Cibola Vista
(including jeep tours, ballooning, horseback riding,
hiking, site seeing and visits to Lake Pleasant for fishing
and boating), we also hope that you will also be able to
take time to simply relax at the resort, enjoying the
extensive desert environment that we have created and
the hospitality that we are extending to you. Our goal is
to make “just hanging around, enjoying the Arizona
sunshine at Cibola” a highlight by itself!
Cibola Vista is planned to be one of the largest Vacation
Ownership resorts in the Southwest. But, like most
resorts, we are developing in phases. We appreciate your
understanding that we are a new resort and will be
getting bigger and better day by day. And we hope that
you will return many times in the years to come to see
how we have grown!
With my sincerest best wishes for a wonderful stay at
Cibola Vista Resort and Spa,

HISTORY OF THE DUKW
The DUKW (popularly pronounced
DUCK) is a six-wheel-drive amphibious
truck that was originally designed inside
General Motors Corporation during
World War II for transporting goods and
troops over land and water and for use
approaching and crossing beaches in
amphibious attacks.
The DUKW was used in landings in the
Pacific, in North Africa, and on the D-Day
beaches of Normandy. With the enemy
holding all available ports, DUKWs
carried 18 million tons of supplies ashore
in the 90 days following the landing (see
Mulberry harbor).
