Meridian Trust FCU to Celebrate
International Credit Union Day by Giving
Cheyenne, WY
Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union,
with over 24,000 members, is celebrating International
Credit Union Day with acts of kindness. “The co-operative
system isn’t singularly focusing on one area. It is reaching
deep within the communities to provide food and services
for our communities we live in”, commented CEO Kim Withers.
“Breakfast for a Week” is a pay-it-forward donation service. Individuals are
encouraged to donate $1.00; in return, the credit union will donate one container of
oatmeal to a community organization. For each container that has seven servings,
Meridian Trust plans on delivering 5,000 oatmeal boxes to food banks, shelters, and
non-profit organizations providing 35,000 breakfasts. Anyone who would like to
participate may drop their $1.00 donation by any Meridian Trust branch from October
1st- 16th.
Meridian Trust’s teen project wants to know “What does pay it forward mean to
you?” A winner from each branch location will be selected, providing $100 to the
winner, and another $100 for the winner to donate to a school club or organization. The
answer can come from a short essay, static display, photograph, or any creative
medium. Teens may drop off their entry at any one of our locations in Cheyenne,
Rawlins, Lander, Jackson, or Scottsbluff, Nebraska by Monday, October 19th.
Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union provides financial services to more than 24,000 members,
with Wyoming branches in Cheyenne, Lander, Rawlins, and Jackson, along with a branch in Scottsbluff,
NE; and PowerTrust branches located in Casper and Rock Springs, WY. For more information, visit
