It is reaching deep within the communities to provide food and services for our communities we live in”, commented CEO Kim Withers. “Breakfast for a Week” is a pay-it-forward donation service. Individuals are encouraged to donate $1.00; in return, the credit union will donate one container of oatmeal to a community organization. For each container that has seven servings, Meridian Trust plans on delivering 5,000 oatmeal boxes to food banks, shelters, and non-profit organizations providing 35,000 breakfasts. Anyone who would like to participate may drop their $1.00 donation by any Meridian Trust branch from October 1st- 16th.
