Its purpose is to improve both match management and the communication between referees and players. Since all professional players will also be receiving a copy of this document, it is important that all Referees not only take note of its content, but also use it as often as possible in their refereeing activities. The use of standard terminology that is understood by everyone will be a major step forward in improving communication and enabling matches to flow with minimal delays. We use standard terminology for marking calls (e.g. down, out, not up), so it is only logical that the explanations for decisions should also be standardised as far as possible, so that players who request an explanation may receive one that is clear and simple. Following such an explanation, play may resume without further delay This document is available to view on the WSRB website under the refereeing tab /resources or contact [email protected] Coaching Courses Venue Date for Day 1/2 Date for Day 3/4 Coaching Level 1 Vale Health 1st /2nd Nov 2014 Now all on 1 weekend Coaching Level 1 TBC 6th /7th Dec 2014 Now all on 1 weekend Coaching Level 2 SWNC 25th /26th Oct 2014 17th & 18th Jan 2015 Coaches Corner Are you interested Continuing with our theme of coaching tips.
