Vegie Garden Competition
Do you grow your own vegies, fruits or herbs? Do you reckon
yours could be the best vegie garden in the City of Rockdale?
To celebrate Local Harvest 2011, Rockdale City Council’s festival to explore and
celebrate local and home-grown food, Council is looking for the best vegie gardeners in
Rockdale City. Prizes will be given to the Best Backyard (or Front Yard) vegie gardens
and Best Balcony/Veranda gardens.
Prizes for Backyard Gardens
1st Prize$400 gift voucher to Green Harvest Organic Gardening Supplies
2nd Prize $200 gift voucher to Green Harvest Organic Gardening Supplies
3rd PrizeSubscription to Organic Gardener magazine and a selection of heirloom seeds
Prizes for Balcony Gardens
1st Prize$200 gift voucher to Green Harvest Organic Gardening
2nd Prize $100 gift voucher to Green Harvest Organic Gardening Supplies
3rd PrizeSubscription to Organic Gardener magazine and a selection of heirloom seeds
Entry forms must be received at Council by 4:30pm on Friday 16 September.
Entry forms with the judging criteria are located in all Rockdale Branch Libraries,
Customer Service Centre at 2 Bryant Street Rockdale and on Council’s website
