The Dalmard Marine company is based in
Paimpol, on the Breton coast, in front of the
Ile de Bréhat. Founded in 1922, the company
was, at first, specialized in protective
clothings for the sailors who were fishing in
Terre Neuve, in Island. Quickly, the company
became a supplier of "Terre Neuvas" and
built up itself a reputation of quality. Later,
the use of a pure wool sheet raincoat replaced the cotton oil for the creation and the
production of the models.

CREATION AND MANUFACTURING
The creation and the development are assured in Paimpol.150 persons assure the
French and European manufacturing, allowing the company to have a regular control
on a permanent production, permetting it to have a strong ability to react.
Our clothes have a history
The wool boiled gives the clothes a strong impermeability. The material is also called “bure”.
These coats were originaly worn by monks, to face the cold and the rain. They are now used
since decades by the professionals of the sea. Also adopted by all the generations, the kabic
and the sailor's jacket are appreciated in everyday life as well as during outdoor activities at the
beach or in the mountain. Dalmard Marine uses the properties of this sheet allying comfort,
heat and impermeability to create and make all ranges of clothes. From the sailor's jacket to the
Kabic, from the marine pullover to the dufle coat, from the pea to the sweaters, all our clothes
have a history, an identity, an authenticity, values to be shared.
Distribution
Present in more then 300 outlets in France and abroad, Dalmard Marine is a supplier
of shipping companies and also works in partnership with the designers.

From "Terra-Neuvas" Call of the sea began in 1922. Over the years and the economic and
social developments, the company has widened its market.
A key step was taken in the 30s with the choice of wool heels, very tight as to make it
waterproof.
A fabric (« bure ») similar to the one worn by the monks. This is what is now commonly
called sheet kabic.

The image of France was first put forward to promote its know-how.
The Company Dalmard located in the garment sector pea coat du�e-coat, jacket and
sweater, uses the French reputation in terms of fashion but also the rigor and seriousness
very familiar to Britons.

Dalmard, manager of the company Dalmard Marine.
This entity exports to Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Japan, Canada, USA and plays on the
values of authenticity.

The good health of the company, due to increasing development including export,
allows it to do every year new designs and research in materials.
At the headquarters of Paimpol (Côtes d'Armor), designer and model maker working on
it, not to expand the range, but to renew it gently.
This exercise is not easy but Dalmard Marine edit its models every season without losing
the timeless character of products.
They are manufactured with the same know-how since their creation (kabic, pea coats,
du�e coat in waterproof cloth and knitted striped cotton.

The brand renews its models while retaining the timeless spirit of the marine product.
We constantly work on details: sleeve, new pockets, brandenburg redesigned and especially expanding the range of colors. The striped jersey already exist in eighteen colors.
