President’s Message
Dear Friends,
About a year ago, we chose to change our company motto to
Care Comes Home because we think that these three words
capture the essence of our agencies.
Care represents the health and home care services we provide,
but it also represents the compassion our staff and volunteers
feel for our clients. And it certainly reflects the love and
concern that so many people feel when they or their loved one
is ill.
Our Mission
The mission of our family
of companies is to provide
home and communitybased health care related
services with a focus
on helping individuals
achieve a level of physical
and emotional well-being
and independence in their
home of choice. Within
the financial constraints of
our organization, we will
provide care to patients
without regard for their
ability to pay.
Home, as we all know, is where so many people want to
be in times of illness or injury, or at the end of their lives.
It represents the security and the independence that we all
cherish and deserve.
Every page of this annual report illustrates, in one way or
another, the care that our agencies, staff, and donors contribute
to our communities. The charts and lists on pages 4 and 5 show
more than $2.5 million in charity care provided by our agencies
in 2012. The donor names beginning on page 6 represent the
thoughtful and generous contributions of more than 1,600
of our neighbors, friends, and corporate and foundation
supporters.
The true meaning of Care Comes Home, though, is best
reflected not through my words, but through the experiences
of our clients. That’s why, throughout this Annual Report, you
will see examples of how our agencies bring care home to our
clients every day of the year.
