K I R K O S ...six base selections
Kirkos now offers more variety with five new
bases. In addition to the original four-leg base the
option of a pedestal, five-prong glide, five-prong
caster, swivel, and cross base is now available in
all veneer, laminate and upholstery options.
The four-leg base gives the option of stacking
whether the style is upholstered or all wood.
A white seat pan is added to the bottom of an
upholstered chair seat to protect the upholstery
from getting damaged. The all veneer chairs have
translucent stacking bumpers to protect the finish
from scratching. The all veneer shell has the
ability to stack six high and upholstered shell can
stack four high.
The convenience of a Transport Trolly is offered
that stacks chairs 4 high in upholstery and 6 high
in veneer or laminate.

KIRKOS...pushing the limits in bent-plywood technology
The extraordinary design of the Kirkos shell takes one piece of plywood and molds it into an encircling shape and is then
pressed together and connected on the seat bottom. This compression of the shell must be controlled by the quality of the
veneer and uniqueness of the mold that shapes this chair. Kirkos employs a unique bent-plywood technology that allows
for the shell to form a complete circle when arms are attached. The chair is available in four variations — all wood, wood
with seat pad, wood with seat and back pad, and fully upholstered insert.
To emphasize this unique shape, the name given to this chair — KIRKOS — is the Greek word that means to encircle,
which is exactly what the chair does to the user.

KIRKOS...three upholstery techniques
In addition to an all veneer shell Kirkos is offered in three different upholstery treatments. The three
styles offered are upholstered seat pad, upholstered seat and back, and a fully upholstered insert. The
fully upholstered insert requires very tight craftsmenship of upholstering an interior shell that is matched
with the exterior shell to form a smooth connection.
Thick fabric with heavy woven textures, tapestries, or very thick leathers are not recommended for the
interior upholstery technique.

KIRKOS...tables for dining or meeting
To enhance the Kikos Chair Series, Davis has
introduced a table collection with a unique textured
stainless steel wrapped base. Tops are available in
three sizes as a round or a square. Several veneers
and laminates are available.
