Leonardo
Dicaprio)
and
the
original
version
by
Shakespeare.
This
lesson
will
test
students'
creativity
when
they
have
to
brainstorm
alternative
endings
to
the
play.
Students
will
brainstorm
alternative
endings
then
proceed
to
publish
the
new
stories
on
the
website
SlapaStory.com.
Students
in
the
class
will
vote
on
ending
which
they
like
best.
Students
will
work
individually
on
this
assignment.
Students
will
be
able
to
compare
and
contrast
the
original
Romeo
and
Juliet
to
that
of
the
modern
movie
version.
Students
will
be
able
to
write
an
original
alternative
ending
to
Romeo
and
Juliet
using
proper
mechanics
and
grammar.
Students
will
be
able
to
post
writing
assignment
on

and
make
at
least

comments
on
their
peer’s

aloud
the
play
of
Romeo
and
Juliet.
Once
the
play
is
complete
teacher

ask
students
to
discuss
and
summarize
the
events
leading
up
to
the
ending.

plat
the
modern
movie's
version

the
ending
scene
to
see
the
differences
between
the
modern
version
of
Romeo
and
Juliet
and
the
original
text.
Teach

to
point
out
some
of
the
differences
that
they
noticed

two
versions.

than

endings

brainstorming
ideas
for
their
own
ending
to
Romeo

Juliet.

brainstorming

created

rough
draft
they
should
upload
it
to

6.
Teacher
will
assign
students
to
read
through
other
peers
endings
and
then
vote
on
which
one
is
their
favorite.

Teacher
will
assign
students
to
post
at
least
two
comments
on
their
peer’s
stories
using
the
SlapaStory
comment
section.
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated based on length requirment, spelling and grammer, and
creativity of paper.
