Toddler Time
Preschool Storytime
Drop by the library for a storytime geared
just for toddlers (ages 18 months-3 years)!
Little minds will learn, play, and explore with
stories, fingerplays, and songs. A freeplay
time will follow the end of storytime.
Calling all children ages 3-6 to come aboard the Storytime
Express for a wonderful storytime experience filled with fun
stories, fingerplays, songs, and crafts! No registration required.

Drop by the Library for a fun family film on the second Saturday of the month (except November) in the
Community Room. Also, enjoy a movie on early release or no school days for Hartford Jt 1 School District.

friends to hang out at his place while his owner is gone, but his quiet life is upended when said owner also takes in

creations! The library provides the LEGOs and a
theme, YOU supply the creativity! Ages 3+ and

Read to Arthur
Sign-up for a reading appointment with Arthur on
select Saturdays throughout the fall and winter!
Appointments can be booked 9:30-1:20 for 20
minute appointments for up to two children at a
time. Children with or without reading issues benefit
from reading to Arthur. Arthur is a certified therapy
dog through Therapy Dogs International.

at the Jack Russell Memorial Library
Weekly Wednesday activities after school at the Library 3:30-5:30 starting October 5! Activities rotate weekly
but will feature new-release movies, crafts, games, and LEGOs! Of course homework, study, and reading spaces
are ALWAYS an option! Registration in Hartford Recreation Center NOT REQUIRED for participation.

For children ages 4-8, with an accompanying parent or other adult. Get ready for a fancy afternoon Halloween masquerade
extravaganza with exquisite activities and fabulous spooky treats! Fancy dress-up encouraged! Registration is required –

Library LEGO Checkout Club : Runs Tuesday, November 1 - Friday, December 30
Spooky Craft
Help the Library build a GIANT tower of LEGOs again this holiday season! Whenever a child checks out at least one book,
get the chance to add 3 LEGOS onto our ever-growing tower! Let’s see how tall and massive we can all build the tower
before 2017 arrives! Help us beat 2016’s record tower made from 622 LEGO bricks!!
Teen Harry Potter Scavenger Hunt : Runs Monday, November 14 - Friday, December 16
In honor of the return to the world of Harry Potter with “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the Library will host a
Harry Potter Scavenger Hunt! Harry Potter characters will be hidden around the library and teens can pick up their scavenger
hunt guide at the Children’s Desk. Teens who find all 20 characters can win prizes while supplies last. Scavenger hunt guides
MUST be returned to the Children’s Desk no later than 5:30 on Friday, December 16. Ages 11+

4th Annual (Edible) Holiday Tree Decorating : Wednesday, December 7, 3:30-4:30
Back by popular demand, make your very own delicious tree complete with sweet decorations and ornaments at the Library.
Half the fun is making a beautiful tree, the other half is eating your creation at home! No registration required. All ages
