What portion of my water service am I responsible for?
Each resident is responsible for their own water service from their house all the way to the point
where the water service connects to the water main. This includes your water shutoff box and
the valve located inside it, typically referred to as your "curb stop" due to it's usual location
between the sidewalk and the street curb.
The water main is typically located on the north or east side of the street, but varies depending
on your location.
