Plans for the Summer of 2015
The RCI Office is continuing to refine their
energy conservation plan. We expect to
have a comprehensive report soon.
We will be meeting soon with the
Emergency Operations Center to review
West Point Hurricane Response Plan.
Hurricane season begins on 1 June.
Hurricanes Irene and Sandy both arrived
here as tropical storms due to our distance
from the Atlantic. We experienced heavy
rain and high winds during both the arrival
and departure of those storms. When
major storms are expected, broadcasts are
issued to all Residents about what to
expect. The BBC Roads and Grounds Crews
are augmented by the landscaping crews to
clear street drains before the storm and to
pick up storm debris afterward. The post
scales up its storm response operations in
an even larger way.
The BBC Project Director will be funding a
number of construction projects in the BBC
footprint this summer. The Initial
Development Period is drawing to a close
and we have a lot of work to complete
before Q2 of 2016. Projects include street
light replacements, energy efficiency
improvements and several general repair
and replacement projects.
Prize drawing entry forms are available at
132 Bartlett Loop and at BBC LifeWorks
events. You may turn yours in at the
events or drop them off at 132 Bartlett
Loop. Drawings will be held each Friday
for prizes until the survey period is over.
This week’s winner is

the West Point Club! Congratulations and
thanks so much for taking the CEL Survey!
