Will Estes
Will Estes is a senior. He is on both the golf and soccer teams
at CHS. Will enjoys watching and playing all sports. He is also
working to become fluent in German. Will is a member of Rock
Point Community Church. His favorite subject is history “just
because I find it fascinating and enjoy finding casual
relationships.” Will’s favorite teacher is Mr. Ben Cantrell. He
stated Mr. Cantrell “teaches his classes well, is strict but fair,
and has a good sense of humor.” The best part of CHS,
according to Will, is “CHS allows one to pursue the highest level
of academic achievement whether it be an AP class or Dual
enrollment classes at Lee.” After graduation Will plans to major
in German and Philosophy with the intent to attend a national
law school.
Sofia Stamatiadis
Sofia Stamatiadis is a senior. She is a member of FCA, Anchor, and
HOSA Clubs. Sofia is also a member of the basketball team. She
attends First Baptist Church. Sofia feels the best part of CHS is the
school spirit. Her favorite subject is history because “I like learning
about past events that have help mold the present day.” Mr. Lear is
her favorite teacher because he is patient. After graduation Sofia
plans to attend college and major in nursing.
Colton Landers
Colton Landers is currently #1 in the wrestling state rankings at 132
lbs. His record is 16-0. He is a senior and hopes to wrestle in
college. Colton plans to major in biomedical engineering. In his spare
time he enjoys fishing and helping with the Kids Club wrestling
practices. Colton’s favorite subject is math and his favorite teacher is
Mrs. Capps, who is a math teacher. Colton said, “I have always liked
the way Mrs. Capps teaches and her cookies.” The best part of CHS
to Colton is the wrestling team and how well they do each year.

Rachel Coats
Rachel Coats is a senior and has been accepted to Lee
University majoring in English. There is no surprise that
English would be Rachel’s favorite subject. She is the senior
editor of the school newspaper. She stated, “I am passionate
about literature and writing and want to pursue a career in it.”
Her favorite teacher at CHS is Mrs. Athena Davis who is an
English teacher. Rachel said, “Mrs. Davis is my favorite
teacher because she obviously loves what she teaches.”
Rachel enjoys reading, writing, and creating art in her free
time. She also enjoys acting and has been involved in two of
the Class Play Offs at CHS. Rachel attends Trinity
Presbyterian Church and is involved with the youth group.
The best part of CHS to Rachel is “the teachers dedicated to
helping all the unique students be the best they can be.”
Archie Crossland
Archie Crossland has been chosen as staff member of the
month. This year marks his 6th year teaching and in
education. Mr. Crossland graduated from Lee University in
2010 with a BS in Special Education. He received his
MEd. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial
University in 2012. Mr. Crossland has taught almost
exclusively in Extended Resource Classrooms. He is the
Crisis Prevention Intervention Instructor for Cleveland City
Schools. Mr. Crossland is especially proud of the Sensory
Garden at Cleveland High which he had a major
involvement in starting. He has been married for 16 years
to his lovely wife, Stephanie, and they have one beautiful
daughter, Anna. Mr. Crossland enjoys reading,
woodworking, and beekeeping in his free time. He attends
the East Cleveland Church of God.
