JOB ANNOUNCEMENT TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONALS Omni‐Means is seeking highly qualified and energetic transportation engineers and planners who want to be on the leading edge of California's evolving transportation landscape. Transportation Engineer/Planner This position requires the application of transportation engineering and planning techniques, theories, and principles to capacity analysis, demand modeling, and planning practice. The Transportation Engineer/Planner performs work that involves providing assistance towards and the preparation of re‐ ports and studies including multi‐modal impact analysis, corridor improvement studies, and city‐ or countywide long‐range planning studies. This position requires experience in the preparation of parking, circulation , warrant, and other technical studies, and proficiency in the preparation and utilization of: City‐ and countywide travel demand models (ex: Cube, TransCAD); Micro‐simulation transportation models (ex: SimTraffic, Vissim); Peak hour multi‐modal capacity models (ex: Synchro, HCS); Geographic information systems (ex: ArcMAP, QGIS); and, Roundabout operations analysis (ex: Sidra, Rodel). Comprehensive knowledge of transportation engineering and planning principles contained in the Ma‐ nual on Uniform Traffic Control Devises (MUTCD), Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), California Environ‐ mental Quality Act (CEQA), applicable California legislation (AB 1600, AB 32, SB 375, SB 743, etc.), and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience or a related Masters degree plus one (1) year of experience. Transportation Design Engineer This position requires a minimum of five (5) years increasing responsible experience in the design of complex roadway/ interchange projects. Licensing as a Professional Engineer is the State of California (or ability to reciprocate) is generally required for the position but may be waived with significant project design experience. The successful applicant(s) will demonstrate the ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, criteria along with the application of sound professional judgment. Applicant must demonstrate proficiency in CADD drafting and design. Transportation Project Manager/Engineer The successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years of design experience, and will demonstrate the ability to assume full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating complex transportation design assignments, often dealing with unique and/or controversial issues. The position requires the ability to define the project scope, identify the issues for investigation, and develope some‐ times novel concepts and approaches. The project manager maintains liaison with internal staff, exter‐ nal agencies as well as the client. Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent is generally a requirement, but may be waived with considerable experience and demonstrated performance. Has responsibility as a client manager on projects to which assigned as managers. Client satisfaction, project quality, profitability and accounts receivable collections are a part of the Project Manager's overall responsibility.
